The New Patriotic Party has warned that it may be forced to motivate its supporters to violently resist the oppression by the supporters of the NDC if Nii Lantey Vanderpuije is called to order.

Some supporters of the (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress in the Odododiodoo constituency reportedly clashed on Friday morning at a registration centre in the area.

No serious injuries have been confirmed so far.

The NPP met after the clashes and has stated that if the NDC parliamentary candidate Nii Lantey Vanderpiuje is not reprimanded, the party will allow its supporters to get violent.

Speaking to XYZ News, Samuel Awuku, a deputy communication director of the NPP said they will motivate their supporters to resist the violent nature of the NDC and fans of the Nii Lantey Vanderpuije.

“For some of us we strongly believe that violence begrudge violence, that is the conclusion that some of us have come to”. Samuel Awuku said adding “we will also motivate some of our supporters to resist that suppression and oppression by them.
