BONGO: Assembly constructs 6 health quarters

In the quest to promote accessibility to primary health care for residents of Bongo and its surrounding environs, the Bongo District Assembly has constructed six quarters for Community Based and Health Planning Services (CHPS) centres in the area.
In addition, the Assembly has also managed to extend electricity to some remote health facilities to aid the health delivery in those areas.
Speaking to Ghanadistricts.com, the District Chief Executive, Clement Akugre Atiah said, the Assembly has the mandate to help promote quality health services and therefore would not relent on its efforts to making this a reality.
He indicated that there are about twelve CHPS centres in the area, spread across communities such as Soe, Zokor, Namoo and Vea among others.
The DCE further pointed out that the assembly is also increasing the establishment of sub-district health centres in various areas of the district as a way of boosting quality health services for the people.
